Women typically have a problem keeping their "game face" on during negotiation, and it hurts us. Thanks for a great reminder.

I too am looking forward to seeing where this goes, and I wish you the best of luck, LTC Harvey! It sounds like you accomplish more before business hours than most people do in a day, so I'm sure your future company will be lucky to have you.

First of all, thank you for responding to my comment! As I read this again, I realize that you did point out some things that are clear indicators of a time-to-move-on moment, such as abuse.
I am fortunate not to have ever dealt with that type of situation. I will, however, say that sometimes marriage has required going against what "makes sense" and hanging in there during tough times.

Well, without revealing my age (hee hee) I can say that I've moved away from bright colors and patterns as I've gotten older. They seem too young-ish to me. However, some of the ones shown here are not too offensive (grin). In fact, that ruched sleeve blouse in the 40's section is gorgeous. I could see wearing it with plain black slacks or a pencil skirt.

I laughed so hard when I read this! Fad worship indeed!! I DETEST corporate initiatives like the ones mentioned. They are a total waste of money!

I enjoyed reading this, and I agree to a certain point. However, I know that sometimes I have all of these feelings about my job, my marriage, my decision to relocate last year, etc. And yet I wouldn't trade any of these things. Point bring, it can take some time to determine the difference between a wake-up call and a rough time.
Rough times are a certain eventuality, and if we take each one of them as a signal to move on, we'll never stick with anything. Just another perspective!
